This is one of the best steak preparations you'll ever eat. And you don't even need an expensive cut of meat. A flank steak, flat iron, or even a skirt steak will come out tasting unbelievable with this preparation. This steak never ceases to have our guests gushing over its flavor.
Combine ingredients and put it Ziploc with your cut of meat and let sit in fridge as long as possible( 4-24 hours). Turn over now and then. Either grill over high heat for roughly 5-6 minutes on each side (or broil in oven for 5-6 minutes per side).
Cooking flank steak to medium rare produces the best texture and flavor.
Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips. Salt will bring out the lime flavor even more. Fresh lime juice squeezed over the meat if you you prefer.
This marinade works for 1-1 1/2 lb steak.
Be sure to use fresh squeezed lime juice. And grilling is the preferred cooking method over broiling.
