"I see that several were having a problem with setting up. Every burner and type of stove, (maybe newer, older, gas, or elec) cook differently. I made this before following the directions here. Second time I did the boiling a little longer, more like 2 min. Then if this doesn't work I tried the soft ball stage just for experimenting. This works also. I also added some nuts, raisins and less oats. So do like you do with other receipes, change them to suite your taste. A good cook always likes to experiment and don't get frustrated in you kitchen. Enjoy your kitchen. Have a good one!" - LAKEWOODLOU

This is a good recipe except you have to cook it for 1 and 1/2 minutes once it starts boiling. you can use regular oats but the quick oats if best. when it starts boiling, use your micro wave timer. if using reg oats, put the oats in when the timer goes off and boil another 15 seconds. turns out really good

The taste and texture was great, but they didn't setup. So the cookies were the consistancy of extra thick surup. More peanut butter or oats might fix it, but I can't be sure unless I make it again and play with the ingrediants. The only thing I can think of that I might have done wrong is using regular oats inteads of instant.
