"When the title said it's the "best", I didn't quite believe it until I tried. Omg! it IS the BEST! I made 1 according to your recipe and the next day it was all gone!! My hubby and kid eats it for breakfast, after-school snack, dessert, and even as a late-night bite. So I'm making this bread every day or every other day now.. Once I left it baking a bit longer in the oven, but it just turned out more crunchy, my hubby just loved it!!!! Thank you for sharing this great recipe! "

2 Eggs
1 cSugar
1/2 cbutter; Melted, or oil
1 tsVanilla
4 tbSour milk; see note
1 cBananas; ripe, mashed
2 cFlour
2 tsBaking Powder
1 tsBaking soda
1 pnSalt
1/2 cWalnuts; chopped

Banana Bread - Best! Preparation

1. In bowl, mix together eggs, sugar, butter, vanilla, milk and bananas, blending well. 2. In large bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Add banana mixture and blend only to moisten. Add walnuts, if desired. 3. Pour into lightly greased 9"x5" pan and bake at 350F for 1 hr until tester comes clean.

Note: For sour milk, add 1 tsp vinegar to fresh milk. Crunchy and sweet on the inside; moist and tender on the inside - delicious!

  • Esta delicioso! Una receta muy facil de hacer. Use dos bananas grandes bien maduras, media taza de salvado y unas rodajas de bananas sobre el pan. La proxima vez uso solo media taza de azucar. Great as is, but the 2nd time I added 1tsp of cinnamon, used applesauce in place of butter/oil, and used half all purpose/half whole wheat. To make it more healthy, and will stick with this version as our staple banana bread. Yummy!
