Great recipe! I selected it because it used my Aunt Nell's technique of souring the milk with vinegar...and I omit the butter and use applesauce instead. It is an easy go-to recipe with lots of flexibility and adaptability....Thanks for posting!!!

Very tasty. I added 1/4 tsp each of cloves, ginger, & allspice, and only used 3/4 cup of sugar. I also substituted an extra banana for the oil. Mine baked in less than 30 min. at 350, so I'm glad I checked it before leaving it in a whole hour.

This turned out great. Probably the best banana bread I've ever made. It was (and stayed) very moist. I was proud enough to bring it into work to give my co-workers a taste!! Thank you!

The banana bread is very very good. I might try using only 1/2 the sugar next time though as this is a seriously sweet banana bread!

This was ok. Not my favorite, or as good as the banana bread (different recipe I made here on BigOven) yesterday. But easy even for a beginner, and good.

I've made this several times & believe it or not the sour milk is really what makes it so awesome!! I've altered this recipe several times getting it to exactly my liking & you just cant leave out that sour milk! Lol
