Great as is, but the 2nd time I added 1tsp of cinnamon, used applesauce in place of butter/oil, and used half all purpose/half whole wheat. To make it more healthy, and will stick with this version as our staple banana bread. Yummy!
Great recipe! I selected it because it used my Aunt Nell's technique of souring the milk with vinegar...and I omit the butter and use applesauce instead. It is an easy go-to recipe with lots of flexibility and adaptability....Thanks for posting!!!
Very tasty. I added 1/4 tsp each of cloves, ginger, & allspice, and only used 3/4 cup of sugar. I also substituted an extra banana for the oil. Mine baked in less than 30 min. at 350, so I'm glad I checked it before leaving it in a whole hour.
