Original recipe makes 1
1 cbananas; Mashed very ripe
2 cAll-purpose flour
1 1/2 cmilk
2 tbSugar
3 tbShortening
3/4 tsSalt
3 Eggs
3 tsBaking Powder

Banana Waffles Preparation

Sift flour, measure and resift 3 times with remaining dry ingredients. Beat eggs, add milk and shortening. Pour into dry ingredients, add bananas and beat all together until smooth. Using 1/2 cup of batter for each waffle, bake in a hot waffle iron until golden brown. Serve immediately with hot syrup. Makes six 7-inch waffles.
