Suggest a better descriptionIn a large pot bring enough water to soak 6 large leaves of cabbage in to a boil.
Remove the large outer leaves of the cabbage, rinse and add to simmering pot for two minutes. Strain water and rinse leaves gently in cold water.
Chop about half of the remaining cabbage.
Add broth* to a large heavy skillet or pot on stove top..
Mix ground meat with thyme, salt and pepper. Fill cabbage leaves towards the broad stem end with a few tablespoons of seasoned meat and a couple tablespoons of chopped cabbage, roll and place in skillet with the broth. Repeat with remaining leaves and fill skillet.
On medium high heat, bring broth to a boil, lower heat and simmer, covered for 35-40 minutes or until meat is cooked through.
Remove from broth and serve.
