Suggest a better descriptionTo make these croutons I save sliced bread that is not used - freeze it.
Preheat oven to 350°.
Cut the frozen bread in approximately 1/2 inch squares.
Mix melted butter, herb oil, and garlic together. Stir well.
Add a small amount of bread cubes to a bowl and slowly pour a small amount of the oil/butter mixture over the top. Stir until well coated. Repeat above step until all bread/oil is used (Note: Don't soak the bread with the oil/butter mixture.)
Sprinkle the dried herbs and mix well.
Put single layer of bread crumbs on large cookie sheet (there is no need to coat the cookie sheet, the oil from the croutons will do that).
Bake for 15 minutes.
Use a spatula and toss them around. Bake another 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and bake 5 more minutes.
