1 cmilk
TOPPING
1 tsBaking soda
1/2 cNuts; chopped
1 tsVanilla
2 cFlour
1 tsCinnamon
3/4 cShortening
1 tsVinegar
3/4 cBrown sugar
1 cBrown sugar
1 tsCinnamon
1 dsSalt
3/4 cSugar
1 Egg
1 1/2 cRhubarb; uncooked, sliced

Best Rhubarb Cake Preparation

Cream sugars and shortening. Add eggs. Mix flour, salt, vanilla and cinnamon. Dissolve vinegar and baking soda in milk. Add dry ingredients to sugar mixture alternately with milk mixture. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13" pan. Combine topping ingredients; sprinkle over batter. Bake @ 350 degrees 40 to 45 minutes, until toothpick comes out clean.
