Original recipe makes 4 Servings
1 cmilk
2 tsGrated orange rind
1 1/2 cDried bread crumbs
1 tsVanilla
1 lbDried figs (or more)
1 Apples -- peeled and cored
1/8 tsPowdered ginger
1 cPecans; chopped
2 tsBaking Powder
And orange peel
1/8 tsCloves
1/2 tsCinnamon
1 cSugar
Sprinkled of candied lemon
3 Egg yolks -- beaten (reserve

Steamed Fig Pudding Preparation

Beat margarine and oil until soft. Add sugar, egg yolks, milk, and vanilla gradually. Put figs and apple through a grinder or chop. Add sprinkles of candied lemon and orange peel, pecans, orange rind, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, bread crumbs, and baking powder. Whip until stiff, reserve egg whites, and fold into mixture.
