One of my family's favorite Thanksgiving side dishes.
Cook bacon and onion in large skillet over med. heat, stirring often, until bacon is crisp. Remove with slotted spoon, reserving 1/4 cup drippings in skillet. Drain bacon and onion on paper towels and set aside.
Combine sugar and vinegar and pour into drippings, bring to a boil. Add beans and cook over med. heat until thoroughly heated, stirring occasionally. Spoon into a serving dish, top with bacon and onion.
