Original recipe makes 15 Servings
6 tbHot water
1/2 tsBlack pepper
8 ozCoconut (desiccated);
1 tsGinger
1 1/2 tsCoriander; ground
1 lbGround beef
Oil for deep frying
2 Garlic
1/2 tsShrimp paste
1 1/2 tsSalt
2 Eggs; beaten

Rempah-Rempah (Meat and Coconut Patties) Preparation

Place coconut and hat water in a bowl, mix well until moistened. Add the minced beef. Dissolve trasi in a Tbsp. hot water, and crush garlic and salt to a smooth paste. Add spices, garlic and trasi to the eggs, mix well. Pour over the meat and coconut, kneed well with hands until well combined, and mixture is smooth.
