Original recipe makes 8
1/4 cAll-Purpose Flour; sifted
1 lbFrozen whole strawberries; drained, OR 1-pint fresh strawberries *
3/4 cBrown sugar; firmly packed
3 cFresh rhubarb; in 1" pieces
1/4 cGranulated sugar
1/3 cButter or Margarine; Melted
3/4 cQuaker Oats; uncooked, (quick or oldfashioned)

Rhubarb Strawberry Crisp Preparation

Combine rhubarb, strawberries and sugar. Place in a 9-inch square baking dish. Combine flour, oats, brown sugar and butter, mixing until crumbly. Sprinkle crumb mixture over rhubarb and strawberries. Bake in preheated moderate oven (350 F.) about 40 minutes or until rhubarb is tender. *NOTE: If fresh strawberries are used, increase sugar to 1/2 cup. I made my version with mixed berries instead of just strawberries. I'm not normally picky about my crisp but this was overly runny. And I agree- wasn't crispy enough. More like a cobbler not a crisp.
