1 tsBaking Powder
1 cMilk or water
1/2 tsSalt
Dough for easy rolling
1 tsNutmeg
2 cSugar
2 Eggs well beaten
Flour enough to stiffen

Rich Cookies From 1845 Cookbook Preparation

Directions Cream sugar and butter, beat in eggs - well beaten and a little flour and nutmeg. Dissolve the baking powder in the milk or water and add to mixture. Add sufficient amount of flour to stiffen for easy rolling out, flouring toe board and pin.
