Live in a rainforest part of the world and can't get fresh peaches so I use canned ones
Prepare the pudding with the 2 cups milk
Drain the peach syrup into a pot and mix with 1/3 cup bourbon. Heat to a boil and reduce the liquid down by 1/3rd
Cut the pound cake into 1" cubes
Beat the whipping cream until foamy and add powdered sugar, beating until soft peaks form.
Line the trifle dish with cake, drizzle syrup/bourbon mixture over the cake, top with peaches, then pudding, & repeat: cake, syrup, peaches, pudding. Top with whipped cream & nuts (optional)
