Brown Sugar Banana Bread Preparation
Heres a very tasty recipe for banana bread that I clipped from the Arizona Republic Food! section. Its lowfat too! Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease one 8 x 4 x 2 inch loaf pan. Beat margarine, applesauce, eggs, milk or water and brown sugar in large mixer bowl until smooth. Add bananas and blend at low speed; beat at high speed 1 - 2 minutes. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; mix into batter. Mix in walnuts or pecans. Pour batter into greased loaf pan. Bake in preheated oven until bread is golden and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, 55 - 60 minutes. Cool in pan on wire rack for 10 minutes; remove from pan and cool to room temparature. Makes 16 servings/ 1 loaf. Posted to recipelu-digest Volume 01 Number 331 by owner-recipelu@ListService.net on Nov 30, 1997
