Competition Texas Chili - The Best Chili you WILL EVER Make in your life! ♥
1. Preheat the oven to 300°F.
2. Chop vegetables and sauté them in a Dutch oven until soft.
3. Add chili powder, cornmeal, cumin, oregano, cayenne, and cocoa powder. Stir on medium-low heat for 2-3 minutes.
4. Pour in stock/broth, molasses, diced tomatoes, beans, and salt.
5. In another skillet, heat oil. Pat the steak dry and work in two batches, cooking until slightly browned.
6. Pour half a beer (6oz) into the skillet, scraping up the brown bits.
7. Transfer the steak to the Dutch oven and heat through with the lid on for 8-10 minutes.
8. Cook the ground meat separately, then add it to the Dutch oven.
9. Place the Dutch oven in the oven for 1 1/2 hours at 300 degrees.
