Like cinnamon french toast, scrambled eggs with butter are used with frying the bread, but only on one side. Gouda cheese is added to one slice and turkey or other sliced sandwich meat is added to the other. Put the two slices together when the cheese is melted and fried side is golden brown. Fried on medium heat so the bread doesn't burn.
Spread some butter on one side of two slices of bread. Set aside.
Wisk two to four eggs in a wide plastic Tupperware container that a slice of bread will fit in.
Preheat frying pan on medium heat (5).
Dip buttered side of bread in the raw egg and place in the frying pan.
Lay one slice of Gouda cheese on top of frying bread.
When the bread is golden brown on the bottom, plate it.
Dip second slice of bread in egg yoke and place it in the frying pan.
Add three slices of deli turkey or other deli meat.
When the bread is golden brown, plate it. You should be able to just tip the pan and the bread will slide onto the plate. Place the previous slice with Gouda cheese on top.
Melt leftover butter in the bottom of the frying pan.
Scramble remaining egg in the frying pan with turkey bacon, salt & pepper, and Italian cheeses.
A very small bit of cinnamon to the scrambled eggs is optional.
Enjoy!!! :D
One slice at a time!
