1 cngreen chilies; Chopped
1 cnStewed tomatoes; chopped
1 dsGround cumin
1 Garlic; crushed
3/4 tsSalt
1 mdOnion; chopped
1 tbButter; or bacon fat
2 tbFlour

Salsa Verde (Green Chili Sauce) Preparation

Saute onion in butter in medium saucepan until tender, about 3 minutes. Sprinkle in flour; stir to mix. Add all other ingredients; bring to boiling, lower heat. Simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Makes about 2 cups. Posted to recipelu-digest by "Diane Geary" on Mar 22, 1998
