Preheat oven to 350ยบ. Oil a 9x13-inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, mix together the dry ingredients and spices.
In another bowl whisk together the applesauce, maple syrup, oil, vinegar, and vanilla. Add this mixture to the dry ingredients and gently mix together with a large wooden spoon.
Fold in the grated zucchini, walnuts, chocolate chips and gently mix.
Immediately place mixture into oiled pan. Spread out batter evenly and place into the oven. Bake for 25-30 minutes. When cool cut into squares and serve.
