Sangrita #2 Preparation

I found this recipe for "Sangrita" in an old cookbook (Cocina Mexicana, by Jane Dutton, 1969 by Determined Productions, San Francicso, CA).

Place all ingredients, except tequila, in blender and blend until smooth (a small quantity at a time if necesary). Chill well.

Pour into small glasses and sip alternately with a small glass of tequila.

If you prefer, the tequila may be poured into the sangrita. (Steve Rosenzweig) CHILE-HEADS ARCHIVES From the Chile-Heads recipe list.

You can keep this in the refrigerator and have it ready. It's also a refreshing 'pick me up' served without the tequila in the morning.
