Lemon Pound Cake

| 1/3 cButter; softened |
| 2 1/2 cBisquick baking mix |
| 1 cSugar |
| 1 tbLemon peel; grated |
| 1/8 tsGround nutmeg |
| 3 Eggs |
| 1/2 cmilk |
| GLAZE |
| 1 tbLemon juice |
| 1/2 cPowdered sugar |
Lemon Pound Cake Preparation
Heat oven to 350F degrees. Grease and flour loaf pan, 9 X 5 X 3". Beat all ingredients except lemon peel and glaze on low speed 30 seconds, scraping bowl constantly. Beat on medium speed 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Stir in lemon peel. Pour batter into pan. Bake 40-50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean; cool 10 minutes. Invert onto wire rack; cool completely. Drizzle with glaze. For glaze beat powdered sugar and lemon juice with spoon until smooth. Recipe by: Bisquick Posted to MC-Recipe Digest by "creedenites"
