Skewers          
Original recipe makes 10 Skewers
1/2 Onion, minced
1 lbChicken breasts,
1 tbBrown sugar
The juice of 1 lime
1 tbNampla ("fish sauce")
1 tbVegetable oil
3 Cloves of minced garlic
2 tsMinced cilantro

Satays Preparation

Thread the meet onto 12-inch bamboo skewers, placing several strips on each of the 16 skewers. Combine the garlic, onion, cilantro, brown sugar, lime juice, nampla, and vegetable oil in a bowl. Pour over the skewers and marinate for 1 hour. Heat barbecue coals until hot, or preheat a broiler. Place the skewers on the grill or broiler rack and cook until done as desired.
