"I loved this recipe. The 2 cups diced..I assume it should be tomato, but I added sliced mushrooms. And at the end, I added heavy cream and reduced.This went together fast, and was delicious. In fact while I was enjoying it I told my husband "I think I've eaten this somewhere before". Don't ask me where but I highly recommend." - cecils02

| 1 tbWorcestershire Sauce |
| 2 c; Diced and peeled |
| 1/2 tsBlack pepper |
| 1 lbFresh shrimp; peeled |
| 1/2 tsCayenne pepper |
| 1/2 Onion; chopped |
| 1/2 tsThyme |
| 1/2 cGreen onions; chopped |
| 1 lbVermicelli; or linguine |
| 1/2 cGrated Parmesan cheese |
| 3 cChicken stock; or shrimp stock |
| 2 tbolive oil |
| 1 tbGarlic; chopped |
| 1/2 tsTabasco sauce |
| 1/2 tsBasil |
| 2 tbSugar |
Cajun Shrimp Pasta Preparation
* or substitute chicken Saute the onion in the olive oil for approximately four minutes. Add the garlic and stir. Add thyme, cayenne and black peppers, and basil and cook at low heat for five more minutes. Add everything else except for the pasta, shrimp, and cheese, and cook over lowish heat for an hour. Saute the shrimp in some butter and garlic until three-quarters cooked (pink, but not totally opaque). Add the sauce and cook for an additional two minutes. Add the cooked pasta and toss well with the grated cheese. Serve hot. Serves 4-6
