A 'golden oldie' that tastes great but requires little effort.
Prick sausages in several places and place in a pan. Add enough cold water to cover, add vinegar and 1/2 teaspoon salt, cover, bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Drain sausages on absorbent paper, cool, remove skins and chop sausages.
Melt butter in pan (large), add onions and apple, stir fry until onions are soft. Add curry powder and cook for another minute. Stir in water and crumbled stock cube, bring mixture to boil.
Add sausages, season with salt and pepper, reduce heat and simmer covered for 10 minutes. Blend cornflour and extra water, stir into sausage mixture, stir until mixture boils and thickens.
Nice served hot with mashed potato or boiled rice.
