Original recipe makes 6 Servings
1 Green bell pepper; coarsely
4 tsChili powder
1 cnWhole tomatoes (14.5oz);
1 cnBlack beans (15oz); drained
1 cOnions; chopped
1 tsGround cumin
1 tsOregano
1 tsGarlic powder
1/2 tsSeasoned pepper
CALIFORNIA SPICE BLEND
2 tbolive oil
1 cnRed kidney beans (15oz);
1/2 tsSalt
2 tsSugar
1/2 cDry Red Wine
1 cnWhite northern beans (15oz);
1 tsBasil leaves

California 3-Bean Chili Preparation

1. Heat oil in large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onion and green pepper, cook 5 minutes, stirring often. 2. Stir in spice blend and remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Garnish with shredded cheese and chopped onion, if desired. Makes 6 cups.
