Suggest a better description1. Slice the flank steak into pieces 1/8 inch thin and 1 inch long. Marinate the beef with soy sauce, rice wine, sugar, baking soda, vegetable oil, cornstarch, and water in a bowl for at least 15 minutes.
2. Shred the green onions and cut the broccoli florets into halves or thirds, 1.5 inch long.
3. Heat 2 T. oil, stir-fry the broccoli. Add 1/2 tsp. salt and 1/3 cup of water, steam for 3 minutes. Then add 1/2 tsp. cornstarch (dissolved in 1 T. water), mix thoroughly. Remove from the frying pan and lay on a platter.
4. Heat 1/2 cup of oil, add beef, and stir-fry quickly for about 15 seconds. Remove beef and drain well.
5. Heat another 2 T. of oil. Fry green onions and ginger for a few seconds, add beef, and stir quickly over high heat. Then add the seasoning sauce right away. Stir until thickened. Pour beef over the broccoli and serve hot.
