Original recipe makes 1 Cake
1/4 tsSea salt (optional)
1 tsLemon extract
3/4 cAM Unbleached White Flour
(optional)
3 tbHoney or maple syrup
1 1/2 tsNon-alum baking powder
1 tsVanilla
1/4 cAM Sesame Seeds
1 Egg; beaten or egg replacer
1/2 cAM Unrefined Sesame Oil
1/4 cGround sesame seeds
(use blender or grinder)
3/4 cAM Amaranth Flour
1/4 cMilk, soymilk or water
1/2 cAM Sesame Tahini

Sesame-Amaranth Cake Preparation

Mix dry ingredients and liquid ingredients in separate bowls, then combine and mix well. Press mixture into an oiled and floured 9" x 13" cake pan. Bake at 350 F. for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly before cutting into small wedges.
