Simple Herbal Gifts- Gingham Dog and Calico Cat Preparation

Note: Each ounce of dried herbs is equal to about 2 cups. Use whole or cut herbs. This mixture can be refreshed by adding fresh oil from time to time. Make small sachets for small, tidy pets, or stuff the whole amount into a large denim pillow for larger, itchier animal friends. Pennyroyal is especially effective as a flea repellent. [Karens note: The photo in the magazine shows a gingham bag and a flower-print bag. Both have the top edges pinked, and are tied with ribbon.] * Jean Roses Modern Herbal: Practical Uses for Herbs in Todays Home * Published in The Herb Companion October/November 1993 * Typed for you by Karen Mintzias
