Notes Chewy Coconut Macaroons Preparation
1. Preheat oven to 350?. Grease an EKCO Bakers Secret Cookie Sheet. 2. Toss coconut with flour and salt. Add sweetened condensed milk and vanilla; mix well. Drop batter by quarter-cupfuls one inch apart onto prepared cookie sheet. 3. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately remove from pan; cool on wire rack. Makes about 18 macaroons. These were the kind of macaroons I was looking for! I did make mine smaller, the 1/4 cup size was way too big, and there was no way I'd ever get 18 from the recipe at that size.
