1 packed cBrown sugar
1/4 cSugar
2 tbHoney
1 cAll purpose flour
1/2 cButter; softened
1/2 tsVanilla extract
1 tsGround cinnamon
1 1/2 cQuick-cooking oats
1 cPecans; chopped
1/2 tsBaking Powder
1 Egg
1 cRaisins; or dates, or chocolate chips (optional)
1/4 tsSalt
1 1/4 cCrisp rice cereal

Chewy Granola Bars #2 Preparation

From: Pam and KerryAnn Cobb Date: Wed, 24 Jul 1996 16:43:04 -0500 In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars. Add honey, vanilla and egg; mix well. Combine dry ingredients add to creamed mixture. Stir in oats, cereal and nuts. Add raisins, dates, or chocolate chips if desired. Press into a greased 13x9x2 inch pan. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes or until the top is lightly browned.
