Made these for a game night with my mates and they went down a treat.
1. To make the sauce: Place all ingredients except wings and sesame seeds into a blender and wiz until the mixture is smooth and thick. It will emulsify slightly.
2. Pour 3/4 of the sauce over the chicken wings and let it marinade for several hours, or longer.
3. Preheat the oven to 150'C. Place the wings onto a raised wire wrack in a baking pan, tips downm and moderately well packed. Spoon marinade over top to be sure these are well coated.
4. Bake the wings for 90 min.
5. Remove the wings from the oven and coat with more marinade. Sprinkle liberally with sesame seeds.
6. Place back in oven at 180'C for 20-30min until wings turn golden.
7. While the wings are browning, place all the remaining sauce into a saucepan and simmer for 5-10 min.
Place foil in bottom of pan. The slow cooking process will cause the wings to rend a lot of their fat, so don't worry about juice left in the pan.Let the wings sit for about 15min before serving, and serve with the sauce for dipping.
