Ingredients

2 tb Dry sherry; or orange juice
1 1/2 lb Skinless boneless chicken
1 tb Orange juice; or water
2 tb Rice wine vinegar; or cider
2 tb Soy sauce low sodium
1 ts Sesame oil; toasted
1/2 ts Garlic; minced
1 ts Cornstarch
1 ts Honey

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375. Rinse chicken and pat dry. Arrange in a single layer in a glass baking dish. Set aside. In a small bowl, stir together soy sauce, vinegar, sherry, sesame oil, honey and garlic. Pour over chicken. Bake, uncovered, 30 minutes or until chicken is tender and no longer pink. remove chicken from baking dish and keep warm. Transfer sauce to a small saucepan In small bow., stir together orange juice and cornstarch. Add to sauce. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly, about 3 minutes. I made this with boneless, skinless thighs. After marinating all day, I baked in oven at 350 for 50 mins then grilled them for another 15 mins. Was very good. Served with rice and stir-fry veggies. The marinade reduced to a nice sauce too.n

Too bland needs extra something extra I added more soy and end up cutting pieces to bite size to eat with rice

Very tastey and quick to make. I used water in place of orange juice and it turned out fine.

This was good! The sesame oil really gives it a unique flavor. My picky husband liked it too! It would probably go well with white meat chicken breast too, but it did fine with the thighs. Thanx for a great idea!

A friend made this a long time ago for me. He didn't use the sesame oil. But this recipe was even better. Its nice to find good recipes for chicken thighs.
