Chocolate Chip Kiss Cookies Preparation

Heat oven to 375F. Remove wrappers from chocolate pieces. In large mixing bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla until well blended. Add flour, blend until smooth. Stir in small chocolate chips. Mold scant tablespoon dough around each chocolate piece, covering completely. Shape into balls; place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes or until set. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely. Drizzle topping over each cookie. About 4 dozen cookies. I am sorry but I have to give it a 1 star because they look better in the pics. They were bland and dry.

with this recipe, it tasted very bland, tasted like flour. think the proportions are off.

I added an egg, even though the recipe didn't call for one. The cookies still came out very dry and somewhat tasteless. Disappointing because they sounded good.

Even after putting an egg in (which the recipe doesn't call for) the cookies were dry and tasted a bit off.

I used the Hershey's dark chocolate kisses with Ghiradelli dark choc. chips.....delicious!

I also used extra creamy Hershey's kisses and would recommend them for English users as they are more like cadburys. Plus I made my cookies much bigger than the ones pictured, so more snack like!

Great cookies. I didn't add an egg, even though the mixture looked dry and they still turned out fab. I may try adding an egg next time, but lovely receipe.

Definitely needed the added egg and a bit more sugar plus a 1/4 tsp of salt. I found the original recipe a bit bland but a good start just needed tweaked.

This is a delicious and easy cookie recipe. I did have to add an egg to the ingredients as the mixture was quite dry. Also you will need to have some extra flour for your hands as you are working with inserting the kiss inside the cookie. Made a batch this afternoon and haven't been able to keep 'hubby' out of them. Thanks for posting, gretch. This is a definite keeper.

Not sure why the ingredients are messed up from what I have on my personal 'Big Oven' program and I can't figure out how to update this recipe. Here's the ingredients in my software!

1 bag (9 oz) Hershey's Kisses or Kisses with almonds brand chocolate
1 cup Butter or margarine, softened
1/3 cup Granulated sugar
1/3 cup Packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
2 cup All-purpose flour
1 cup Hershey's Semi-sweet mini baking chips
-- Chocolate Drizzle --
1/4 cup Hershey's Semi-sweet mini baking chips
1 teaspoon Shortening

GOOD LUCK! Hope you're able to read and enjoy! Again, I still haven't tried this yet, but loved the ones made for me - YUM!
