Original recipe makes 4
1 16-oz canHershey syrup
CAKE LAYER
CHOCOLATE TOPPING
1/2 cSalted butter; or margarine
1 cSemisweet chocolate chips
4 Eggs
1/2 cButter or margarine
1 cFlour
3 drGreen food coloring
6 tbButter or margarine
1 cSugar
1 tbWater
1/2 tsmint extract; (up to 3/4 tsp)
2 cPowdered sugar
MINT LAYER

Chocolate Mint Dessert Preparation

Combine above ingredients in large bowl and beat until smooth. Pour into greased cake pan bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool completely in pan. Spread mint layer on cake. MINT LAYER Beat all ingredients until smooth, spread on cake. Cover and chill. CHOCOLATE TOPPING Melt chips and margarine over very low heat. Remove from heat when melted and stir until smooth, cool slightly and pour over mint layer.
