Rub roast with garlic and onion powders. Place it in crock pot and pour beef broth over. Let cook 3 hours on HIGH. Remove roast, set aside and add cabbage, potato, onions, beet greens, barley and diced tomatoes. Let cook for an hour on HIGH, then cut roast in bite sized pieces and add to slow cooker. (I also add another can of beef broth if I need it) Reduce the temperature to low and cook it until it is time to eat.
