Elegant looking, easy to make, delicious salad
This salad looks wonderful in a deep glass or crystal bowl.
The salad should be covered and chilled for a least 1 hour before serving -- or it can be made late in the morning to have at dinner time.
I'd start preparing this salad by cooking the bacon to give it time to cool. Next I would thaw the peas and leave them to drain as I moved onto the beginning layers.
For Diabetics Splenda could be substituted for the sugar mixed with the mayonnaise.
This is an awesome salad for a large gathering as it looks so great!
Yield is 12 for hungry folk 20 or more for a buffet.
