Turkey taco salad with homemade tortilla chips.
Chips:
Preheat oven to 250 degrees
Cut the to tortilla into 8 equal size triangles. ( Start by creating a crease in the center vertically and then horizontally. Then cut and x to make 8 equal triangles)
Place chips onto cookie tray and bake for 5minutes on each side.
Remove from oven once browned and sprinkle light salt on top.
All chips may not fit onto one cookie tray .
Taco Meat:
Heat skillet on stove top.
Place ground turkey into hot skillet.
Add taco seasoning and taco sauce.
Season with salt and pepper as desired.
Cook until meat is browned, fully cooked.
Assemble:
Layer shredded lettuce onto bottoms of serving dish (or plate) .
Place diced onions and tomatoes on top of lettuce.
Layer taco meat over the vegetables.
Top off salad with some Mexican Blend Shredded Cheese.
Serve with tortilla chips.
