BLEND IN FOOD
Boned/diced
1 lbChicken/turkey --
1 ozGinger root --
3 Garlic
1 lbTomatoes -- fresh or canned
Scrubbed/chunkd
12 ozChicken consomme
1 lbTomatoes -- peeled and
CHOP FINE AND ADD-----
Unsalt
1 Onion -- peeled and chunked
1/2 lbPeanuts, dry roasted --
ADD TO POT, ALONG WITH-----
Diced
PROCESSOR-----
1 tsChili peppers -- crushed

Colophon Original African Peanut Soup Preparation

Heat to a slow boil, then simmer one hour or longer. Dont let mixture get too thick. Blend 2 T melted butter with flour to make a roux. Stir into soup. If soup gets too thick, add more water. Garnish with additional chopped dry roasted unsalted peanuts. (Number of servings unknown until recipe is tried. From Colophon Cafe).
