Cranberry Fig Relish
Ingredients
Original recipe makes 3 Cups
| 1/4 cBrown sugar; packed |
| 1/4 cMaple syrup |
| 1/4 tsPepper |
| 1/2 cWater |
| 1 tbGrated orange rind |
| 1 cOnions; chopped |
| 3/4 lbCranberries (3 cups) |
| 1/2 cRed wine vinegar |
| 1 cFinely chopped dried figs |
Cranberry Fig Relish Preparation
In heavy saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for about 50 minutes or until thickened, stirring frequently. Remove from heat; let cool. Source: The Vancouver Sun Oct 5/94 From the collection of Karen Deck
