"Great "comfort food"! I definately used the cream and added carrots to the broth to cook with the onion, celery, and chicken.I also added rice and peas just before serving- made a great "meal in one".
Will use this again. To make more elegant for guests, will delete rice, peas, and carrots and add rosemary. Sprig of rosemary on top for garnish. " - CathieG

Cream of Chicken Soup Preparation
Boil chicken, celery & onion till done. Remove chicken & shread meat. Reserve broth. Melt butter in top of double boiler over direct heat. Slowly stir in flour. Stir in broth & milk. Cook until smooth & thick. Add shredded chicken. Add salt & pepper to taste. MRS. VICTOR JEUNGEL, JR. From
