1 Onion; diced
1 1-lb packagesplit peas
1 Ham bone; (with some meat left) or 2 ham hocks
2 qtWater
1 Stalkcelery; diced
1 Carrot; diced
1 tsSalt
1/4 tsPepper

Crockpot Split Pea Soup Preparation

Combine all ingredients in slow-cooking pot. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours. Remove ham bone; cut meat off, dice, and return meat to soup.
