Original recipe makes 1
2 tbBeef base; granules or paste
1 10-oz packageFrozen mixed vegetables
2 smOnions; chopped
2 Carrots; sliced
1/2 cFlour
1/2 tsPepper
1 Butter
1 1-pound cantomatoes
3 cWater
1 lbGround beef; or cubed chuck
3 Stalkscelery; chopped

Crockpot Steak Soup Preparation

Put all ingredients in crockpot EXCEPT for butter and flour. Cover and cook on Low for 8 to 10 hours. One hour before serving, turn on High. Make a roux of 1 stick butter and 1/2 c. flour (melt butter in small saucepan, on med-low heat, and stir in flour); stir until smooth. Pour into crockpot and stir into soup.
