"The texture was wonderful. Stiffer than a pastry cream, which I liked, yet creamy like a pudding. I served it very chilled by surrounding its container with ice packs in the frig a few hours before serving...and it was xtra refreshing." - jesse71

Custard Filling for Cream Puffs Preparation

For Dail and any one else that wold like some fillings for Cream Puffs. These came out of "My Familys Favorites" cook book. I have made them and they are good. Make pudding as package directs, using 1 1/2 cups milk. Pour into medium bowl; place waxed paper directly over surface. Refrigerate until chilled. In small bowl, combine heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla; with rotary beater, beat just until stiff. Then fold whipped-cream mixture into pudding. It makes 2 cups; enough to fill 6 large or 36 miniature puffs. Posted to EAT-L Digest 07 Mar 97 by Vaughndell Dodd on Mar 8, 1997
