Salt and pepper to taste
6 cSelf-rising flour
1 tbMixed herbs
1/4 cSolid shortening
Broth or water

Dumplings for Herb Dumpling Stew Preparation

Mix dry ingredients, then add shortening & egg, mixing thoroughly. Divide mixture into small pieces, roll into even rounds between floured hands. Cook in boiling water or broth for 15 minutes.
