"This is the second time I have made this recipe...and I figured out a way to make it even better! Make recipe as directed but use this "sweet" soy sauce recipe instead of regular soy sauce:
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1-2 Tbs. minced onion
Bring all ingredients to a boil in small saucepan over medium heat. Simmer 2 minutes or until reduced to 1/4 cup.
I then added all 4 tablespoons of this sauce just as the original recipe directed. Absolutely delicious! My husband said it tasted like P.F. Changs!! ;-)"- jdavislbc

Cook the bacon in a wok until crisp. Remove the bacon and add the scallions, red bell pepper, and peas, cook for about 1 minute. Add the egg and scramble. Stir in the rice and add the chicken, bacon, and soy sauce (add more or less soy sauce according to taste). Serve immediately.

noahkrebs 2 weeks agoI love this recipe! The flavors are amazing! The peppers, bacon, just wow! I have this almost every week. Everyone loves it. Though, it isn't the traditional chicken fried rice recipe it sure is amazing.
missycomeaux 2 weeks agoI made this tonight and it turned out great! Here are the changes I made.....used the sweet sauce and added more because its so good! Didn't have bacon but had some bacon grease handy :-), used fresh cooked rice (medium grain) and I added broccoli.

muel0297 4 months agoLove it needs an extra egg for my taste but over all great
Ksabelis 4 months agoSoooo yummy with the sweet soy instead of regular soy! Bacon adds a nice flavor. I throw diced carrots in and more veg than called for. It turns into a meal rather than a rice side. So easy and a great way to use up leftovers
hop-a-long 6 months agoThis meal is awesome! A favorite for sure! I made it exactly like the recipe called for and it was perfect!
01beth 8 months agoIt was tasty and easy. We added carrots and took out the scallions. We also only used 2 tablespoons of soy sauce just because we are not huge fans of soy sauce. Very good recipe overall!
Bradorge1 10 months agoUse chicken stock to cook rice, gives much more depth of flavour

jdavislbc 1 year agoMade this recipe as instructed and it turned out great! Tastes comparable to Chinese take-out :-) Very easy to make, too. The soy sauce was on the verge of being too much, so I definitely wouldn't add more than the 4 tablespoons and may add even less next time.
