Mix dry ingredients, then add water and then vinegar...lastly, add the beaten egg. Mix to make a smooth batter. Dip the fish into a little extra flour then into the batter.
Then shallow or deep fry the fish.

Aimeelady 6 months agoGood but something missing. Might do with cayenne pepper next time for more flavorsomeness since it was missing some of that.

NazfiraAnriz 1 year agoI like this batter that my fried fish fillet turns out very crispy. I don't weigh the flour though. I use 1/2 cup flour to 3/4 cup water. Add chilli and curry powder too. Very delicious.
indikins 1 year agocame out golden and perfect. used with pollock and pan fried with vegetable oil. i was extremely impressed with this batter. added crushed red pepper and garlic to the dry ingredients to give it more flavor.
cliverobbo 1 year agoYou can add a bit more water which will create a thinner coating. The best batter recipe I've found so far. Fantastic!
