Original recipe makes 6 Servings
1 tbolive oil
1/2 cOnion, sliced & quartered
1/4 cAlmonds, slivered & toasted
1 1/2 lbGreen beans, stemmed
1/4 cWater chestnuts, slivered

Festive Green Beans with Almonds Preparation

Cut green beans into 3" long pieces. Steam until tender, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat & set aside. Heat oil in a large pot & saute the onions until soft, 5 minutes. Stir ni the reserved beans along with the water chestnuts. Transfer immediately to a serving dish, sprinkle with almonds & serve.
