Fresh "Cirio" Tomato and Basil Patsa Dress Preparation

Date: Sat, 15 Jun 1996 20:46:43 +0100 From: Juli in Venice Since Im single and and I dont like cooking in the summer heat here are a couple of quick "Venetian" recipes. Fresh "Cirio" Tomato & Basil Patsa Dressing Chop fresh tomatoes and fresh basil. Use as much as you like. You can use a little pressed garlic clove if you like, a pinch of salt and 2 tbls. of olive oil. Make up a 2 lb. batch and keep it in the fridge. Use this to top pasta or on a big slice of toasted whole grain bread. Sometimes I make tabuli (cracked wheat) and stir the tomatoes in that. EAT-L DIGEST 14 JUNE 1996 From the EAT-L recipe list.
