Original recipe makes 6
2 1/2 cFresh peaches; peeled & sliced
3/4 cAll purpose flour
3/4 cmilk
3/4 Butter
1/4 tsCinnamon
1 1/2 cSugar
1/4 tsSalt
2 tsBaking Powder

Fresh Peach Cobbler Preparation

Mix 1 cup sugar with cinnamon & add to peaches. Set aside. Melt butter in bottom of a 2 qt. casserole dish. Combine remaining 1/2 cup sugar, flour, salt, baking powder, & milk. Pour batter over melted butter. DO NOT STIR. Add peaches. DO NOT STIR. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Very easy and very delicious!! Posted to MC-Recipe Digest V1 #827 by Nancy Berry on Oct 05, 1997

    Thank you! I had never made a cobbler before making this one. I made it twice in one week! Its so yummy! I did add a bit of cinnamon and nutmeg the second go round and used canned peaches both times but it was still wonderful!

    This recipe is very good. I cut back the sugar to 1/3 c in the flour mixture and (scant) 1/2 c in the peaches. It was plenty sweet for us

    Got rave reviews at work for this. I added a little cinnamon and freshly grated nutmeg to the flour mixture. I also made my own whipped cream with a sour cream-cream cheese addition and a dash of cinnamon and almond extract to top it off. Super easy - the topping took more time than the cobbler.
