"Delicious!! We prefer Klaussen pickles but the store only had spears. So I bought a gallon size jar of Vlasic dill chips & made 6 or 7 batches... They were disappearing as fast as I could make them!! We had friends over & everyone absolutely loved them! I prefer a lighter breading so after the first batch, I started dipping them in the egg wash & then in the flour & fried them after that. Perfect!!" - hcsimm77

I soaked dill pickle chips in Buttermilk and used 1/2 flour and 1/2 cornmeal. Dry pickles with paper towel before dipping. I also fry in Crisco. I have found the pickles fry up real crisp and juicy.

The batter had no taste in my opinion and my kids who love pickles ended up taking the breading off and eating just the pickle, I followed the recipe to the T.

Wonderful!!! Even my husband who hates pickles loved these! Although I did soak my pickles in water first...otherwise it would be way to salty for us. I also used pickle slices, instead of spears...yum yum yum
