"Delicious!! We prefer Klaussen pickles but the store only had spears. So I bought a gallon size jar of Vlasic dill chips & made 6 or 7 batches... They were disappearing as fast as I could make them!! We had friends over & everyone absolutely loved them! I prefer a lighter breading so after the first batch, I started dipping them in the egg wash & then in the flour & fried them after that. Perfect!!"- hcsimm77

Whip together all ingredients for seasoned egg wash, set aside. Mix ingredients for flour mixture in a shallow dish. Slice pickle 1/8" thick. Dip into flour mix, then egg wash, then flour mix again. Fry until golden brown, about 1 minute. Drain on paper towels. Serve with dipping sauce of ranch dressing, ketchup or horseradish sauce. Blue Moon Cafe Austin, texas

Mandyjo123 11 month agoI soaked dill pickle chips in Buttermilk and used 1/2 flour and 1/2 cornmeal. Dry pickles with paper towel before dipping. I also fry in Crisco. I have found the pickles fry up real crisp and juicy.

Melodiep30 1 year agoThe batter had no taste in my opinion and my kids who love pickles ended up taking the breading off and eating just the pickle, I followed the recipe to the T.

Giftedgoddess 3 years agoWonderful!!! Even my husband who hates pickles loved these! Although I did soak my pickles in water first...otherwise it would be way to salty for us. I also used pickle slices, instead of spears...yum yum yum
